87 | 2 Techniques for Self Growth
Wednesday Jul 15, 2020
Wednesday Jul 15, 2020
On episode #87, I talk about 2 powerful techniques that help you to move forward in your recovery journey. These techniques are: the say it in past-tense technique and the out loud affirmations technique. Why these techniques are so powerful is because they speak directly to the unconscious mind (the 95% of who you are). The first technique (say it in past-tense), allows you to to disassociate yourself from your old anxious identity. The second technique (out loud affirmations), engrains powerful affirmations within your unconscious mind just by speaking them out loud with some emotion behind it. I talk about why these techniques are so powerful and much more in this podcast episode.

86 | Recovery Roadblocks
Wednesday Jul 08, 2020
Wednesday Jul 08, 2020
On this episode, I talk about the challenges anxiety sufferers face while going through their recovery journey. The question is, why do more traumatic memories present themselves after I release and resolve one? To answer this, I discuss the unconscious mind and how it stores trauma. I then go over the process of reframing and how we can release the baggage within our unconscious that is weighing us down. After, I explain why another traumatic memory replaces the old one and how you can resolve this continuous pattern.

84 | Bad Role Models
Wednesday Jun 24, 2020
Wednesday Jun 24, 2020
On this episode, I talk about bad role models, the qualities of a bad role model, and how they can keep you stuck in your current limited identity. A role model can be anybody you spend most of your time with as well as actors, artists, or musicians you look up to. The saying: "you are who you hang around," holds a lot of truth to it. The best way I thought to tackle this topic is to talk about my past relationship with my former best friend, and his contribution on my previous anxious identity.

83 | Most Common Anxiety FEARS
Wednesday Jun 17, 2020
Wednesday Jun 17, 2020
On episode #83, I talk about the 2 underlying fears of a health anxiety sufferer: mortality and social judgment. Like myself, many people suffering from health anxiety remain in their safe zones because they fear having heart attack and dying out in public and making a fool of themselves why they do it. Then I go on to discuss other fears such as vomiting, the fear of a loved one dying, and the fear of developing a serious illness. I pick these fears apart and talk about ways to overcome them on this podcast episode.

82 | What is Health Anxiety?
Wednesday Jun 10, 2020
Wednesday Jun 10, 2020
On episode #82, I answer the question - what is health anxiety? Also known as hypochondria, health anxiety can take over your life. When I suffered from it, I would continuously obsess over different areas of my body for weeks thinking that this strange mark on my skin or sensation within my body was life threatening. Then I would seek out loved ones for reassurance, google my sensations, go to the doctors, or stay at home in my safe zone continuously. In this episode, I go over the reasons WHY people suffer from health anxiety and HOW you can overcome it, naturally.

81 | Anxiety Recovery SETBACKS
Wednesday Jun 03, 2020
Wednesday Jun 03, 2020
On episode #81 of The Anxiety Project Podcast, I talk about recovery setbacks and how to properly handle them. Setbacks are inevitable, they are part of the journey, but can be devastating to an anxiety sufferer. A obstacle has presented itself, the goal seems unattainable for a moment, and then anxiety is produced. The snowball of negative thinking is likely to begin at this point. The thing is, depending how you look at it, setbacks can be viewed in a positive manner. I go over why this is the case, and more, on this podcast episode.

80 | Motivations to Change
Wednesday May 27, 2020
Wednesday May 27, 2020
On episode #80, I list some very important questions that help facilitate the drive necessary to move yourself away from that anxious old you, towards that ideal you. If there isn't a big enough fire lit under you, then you may easily fall back into your old ways. When you connect pain to your current situation, that motivates you to move further away from that state. If you also attach pleasure to the future you you want to manifest, that will keep you on course towards that ideal. I also go over my motivations to change and talk the fire that helped me push through that resistance to overcome my anxiety disorder.
