On this episode, I talk about bad role models, the qualities of a bad role model, and how they can keep you stuck in your current limited identity. A role model can be anybody you spend most of your time with as well as actors, artists, or musicians you look up to. The saying: "you are who you hang around," holds a lot of truth to it. The best way I thought to tackle this topic is to talk about my past relationship with my former best friend, and his contribution on my previous anxious identity.

On episode #83, I talk about the 2 underlying fears of a health anxiety sufferer: mortality and social judgment. Like myself, many people suffering from health anxiety remain in their safe zones because they fear having heart attack and dying out in public and making a fool of themselves why they do it. Then I go on to discuss other fears such as vomiting, the fear of a loved one dying, and the fear of developing a serious illness. I pick these fears apart and talk about ways to overcome them on this podcast episode.

When I suffered from it, I would continuously obsess over different areas of my body for weeks thinking that this strange mark on my skin or sensation within my body was life threatening. Then I would seek out loved ones for reassurance, google my sensations, go to the doctors, or stay at home in my safe zone continuously. In this episode, I go over the reasons WHY people suffer from health anxiety and HOW you can overcome it, naturally.

Setbacks are inevitable, they are part of the journey, but can be devastating to an anxiety sufferer. A obstacle has presented itself, the goal seems unattainable for a moment, and then anxiety is produced. The snowball of negative thinking is likely to begin at this point. The thing is, depending how you look at it, setbacks can be viewed in a positive manner. I go over why this is the case, and more, on this podcast episode.
