I reference Russell Brand's book Recovery and the beginning step in the 12 steps to overcoming addictions. There are many underlying addictions (negative habits) that have been leading the anxiety sufferer down a bad path. So, taking responsibility for the chaos you are in is a massive step towards recovery.
